Write to us

support@kanid.app. Every email gets an answer. Kanid is made by a small team, so it is a person reading it, not a ticket queue.

To make it fast, tell us: your iPhone model and iOS version, the Kanid version (Profile › bottom of the screen), your dog’s name, and what you expected to happen instead.

The grams don’t match the bag

They usually shouldn’t. The table on the bag goes by wide weight brackets and assumes an adult dog at maintenance. Kanid works out resting energy from the reference weight (70 × kg^0.75), applies a maintenance factor for life stage, neutering, activity and body condition, and — this is the part that changes the number — uses the target weight when there is a weight-loss goal, not today’s weight.

Until you scan the pack, Kanid assumes 350 kcal per 100 g. Scan it, or enter the kcal by hand, and the grams change to match your actual food.

Cancelling Premium

Settings › your name › Subscriptions, on your iPhone. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.

If the subscription lapses you lose nothing you logged. The paid features stop showing; your dogs, their weights and their records stay.

Deleting your account

Profile › Delete account. It erases your account and with it your dogs, their weight history, goals, achievements and conversations. It is immediate and it cannot be undone.

Kilograms or pounds

Kanid follows your region, not your language. If the unit is wrong, change the region in your iPhone settings; the app follows it.

The scanner can’t read the pack

Flat light, no glare, the whole nutrition panel inside the frame. If it still won’t read, you can type the kcal per 100 g by hand and the ration is worked out the same way.

Health data doesn’t show up

Settings → Privacy → Health → Kanid, and turn on the permission. Kanid reads your steps to put your activity next to your dog’s weight. It never writes anything to Health.

Anything about your dog’s health

Kanid is not a vet: it does not diagnose, does not recommend medication and does not read wounds or lumps from a photo. At any sign of illness, pain or sudden weight change, see a vet.
